Dear Hilton,
Just over two weeks ago I finally took delivery of the vehicle I have only been able to dream about for many, many years. I wish to share with you, the experience I have had to date, with Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley.
After just over 9 years of a really Gr8 relationship & many Gr8 km’s travelled, the time had come for me to part ways with my very “Faithfull” Isuzu KB280DT, as she was getting on in years & was only a 4X2. I really was looking forward to 2 things, through this process of purchasing another vehicle, namely:
a. To get a 4X4
b. To get a Toyota
After working out what my budget was going to be & how much I was willing to spend, I then started looking at various options of what I was looking for, which worked out to be in the 2005 – 2008 price bracket. I did a lot of research in both the private sale route, as well as what was available from various dealers.
I ended up at Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley, to find out what was available, in the bracket that I was looking for. I was greeted by Christi Roux, who made me feel very welcome. I proceeded to explain to him what I was looking for & how much I was wanting to spend. He then asked me to accompany him to his desk where he informed me of the Gr8 specials that Toyota was offering on various Bakkies. He worked out various options for me to look at & explained all the “pro’s & con’s” of all the options that I had in front of me. In the end, it just made so much sense to “stretch” myself from my original budget & in the end, settled on buying a “Brand New Hilux Raider 3.0 D-4D D/C”.
Sure, it was quite a bit more than I originally wanted to spend, but everything just made so much more sense after what I was offered in this deal. Apart from the fact that stock was indeed “limited” & I was made aware that I needed to make a decision ASAP,….never once did I feel pressurised into making any decisions that I was not comfortable with. I had time to go home, discuss everything with my wife, work through all the info & then finally decided that it was to right decision.
Christi kept me well informed through the entire process, for which I’m very grateful. I was made to feel very welcome & part of the “Toyota Family”, right from the beginning & seeing that nice big Red Ribbon on the bonnet of my new Bakkie, when I took delivery on Friday afternoon (12th), just made the experience so much more special.
Another thing that impressed me, was the really Gr8 way that Heidi assisted me w.r.t. the possibility of me trading my Isuzu in, on the new vehicle. She offered me a good “trade-in” value, but in the end I managed to sell my old vehicle privately for quite a bit more which came in very handy as the new vehicle was now costing me a lot more.
Then approximately about a week later, after I had taken delivery of my new vehicle, I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from Christi to find out how I was enjoying my new vehicle & if everything was OK. My whole experience to date, with Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley, has been really Gr8. I truly feel honoured to be the proud owner of my new vehicle & look forward to being associated with the Toyota Brand (especially Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley) for many years ahead. Thank you for the Gr8 service & welcoming me into your “Family".

Although I know my Mother, Mrs FM Burger, will probably receive a call to enquire about her experience of the service she received at Barloworld Toyota Tygervalley, I felt it was important that you were aware of the excellence we have received from Christi Roux.
From the onset, when my Mom was still deciding between a new RAV or a new BMW, his professionalism and attention did not waiver. From securing a new RAV in Natal, I think, and having it transported to Cape Town, while he was still not sure if he had a sale, as Mom still needed to test drive it, he has looked after my Mom impeccably.

I would like to make use of this opportunity to thank your dealership for the exceptional service that I received after buying a new vehicle recently!!!
I cannot but make special mention of Rudi Kohrs , seeing that he went out of his way to sort out an alarm / central locking problem we encountered soon after my wife received her car. This is to say the least, quite commendable. Unquestionably this problem is now solved and we can look forward to trouble-free motoring going forward.
With service like this you can expect to see me again in future when I am in need of a new Toyota.
